Changes for Milling
- The warning message "Skipping a pocket since the rest tool has not removed any material" will now only show when a pocket was untouched by the rest tool, and the entire stock is left for the rest operation. The message is also updated to "Warning: A pocket, which was not machined by previous operations because they used tools that were too large, has now been fully machined in this operation. - Added diagnostic information to the log when an adaptive toolpath fails to produce any result because the ramps are too large. (#28959)
- Fixed an issue for wrap toolpaths in which the wrap radius was not updated when choosing the cylinder and the operation could not be accepted. (#30852)
Changes for Turning
- Fixed an issue with certain turning profile finishing toolpaths where the top of the model was not being machined when tangential extensions were specified (#27892)

Changes for NC Editor
- An update for HSM Edit fixes an issues where the Transforms Group was disabled. (#31104)

- Fixed an issue with rest shadow air cut reduction in pocket clearing that was not working correctly. (#28357)
- Added information to the log in cases where an adaptive toolpath fails to produce any path because the ramps are too large. (#27439)

- Fixed an issue where toolpaths would not generate with an error refering to "Turn" and "Tilt" parameters, which were not applicable in the context. (#28650)
- Added a warning for engrave when there are open curves in the input. Engrave requires the input curves to be closed. Ignoring the open curves without a warning could produce confusing results for the user. (#28620)

- Fixed an issue with certain turning profile finishing toolpaths where the back tangential extension was not being created correctly. (#28005)

If you need to install Inventor, it should be available to you in the Autodesk Account Portal
-
Before you install Inventor CAM 2022, please make sure to run Windows Update, install all Windows Updates that are pending on your machine, and reboot:
- For Windows 10: Windows Update is available in the Update and Security section of Windows Settings, which is available from the Windows menu.
- Windows 7: Windows Update is located in the Control Panel, which is accessible from the Start menu.
-
It is sometimes necessary to perform a Windows Update multiple times to completely update your operating system.
-
Verify that enough disk space is available on your machine to install Inventor CAM 2022.
-
Before installing Inventor CAM 2022, please uninstall all prior Autodesk beta products.
-
Download Inventor CAM 2022 from the Autodesk Account Portal or from your Autodesk Desktop Application.
-
Follow the instructions to download and launch the installer. Temporary extraction is to your temp folder. Operating system errors regarding very long path names can occur if the temporary location is nested too many levels deep.
-
If the installer does not launch, browse to the folder where the files were extracted, and double-click setup.exe.
Updating an existing installation
- When a new update is available, an update notification will appear in the Autodesk Desktop App.
- Please download and install the update package.
Before installing an update there is no need to uninstall a previous Inventor CAM release; but if you prefer to do so, you can uninstall the relevant release in Programs and Features in Windows Control Panel by accessing “View installed updates”.
